It is time to move the DVD player out of reach of the babies. How do I know? Because today when I was looking for the DVD I needed to return and couldn’t find it I decided to open up the DVD player. As I was unplugging it and moving it around I heard a rattling so I thought well maybe there is more than just one in there. I was right. I opened it up and found the DVD I was looking for plus 11 more also!!
TMOMS tonight.
Big boys at school, babies and Avrah napping, dinner in the crock pot, face book all checked, two triangles done for a hat that I am knitting. And now with the blog out of the way I’m going to go enjoy the quiet and watch Heroes.

E-mealz?
Notice anything different about my blog? No? Look around do you see it? Right over there to the right, above my “about me” section. There it is.
It is a new thing I am doing. No I am not selling it, I didn’t start it and it wasn’t even my idea, although I wish it was. What is it? Glad you asked. It is a meal planner. It gives you 7 meals and the ingredients and the directions to make the meal all on one page, and even more they give you a grocery list. They try to build the meals around super markets sales too. You can choose which grocery store (although they don’t have all of them), and there is even an option to customize the meals (if you are only cooking for two, or you are on a diet- weight watchers, carb conscience, fat free..Etc).
I can’t sing all of its praises yet because I have only done this one night, but I think it will be good for me. My main problem has always been coming up with the meals. I am not the world’s best cook (shocking I know). I do know my way around the kitchen and do know how to follow a recipe, and usually things turn out good even my first time making them. It is just that coming up with a meal plan isn’t easy for me. I don’t know what I want to eat today let alone for Friday. I am not a picky eater and will eat just about anything. There are things I don’t eat but that is for other reasons not because I don’t like them. (We weren’t allowed to “not like” foods at my house growing up). So this solves that problem for me. If you are like me then it may work for you too.
It does cost money (If you are interested let me know I found a coupon) . But it saves money too. It probably paid for itself just tonight, because instead of grabbing something on the way home from Jui jitsu like I wanted to, I went home and fixed what was on the meal plan for dinner tonight. What was it? It was BLT Salad (also had chicken in it) and Cheesy Tortilla strips. Adjusted to my family of course (turkey bacon and no ranch dressing on Judah’s). The real test was did the kids eat it. Judah ate his all and wanted more, he doesn’t like dressing on anything, Mayo, mustard, ketchup, and ranch, nothing on anything he eats I don’t know how the kid can eat a dry salad, but he put it on his tortilla strips like a BLT sandwich. Josiah ate all of his too. Hosea and Avrah didn’t eat much but Micah actually ate the chicken and the cheesy strips. It is normal for Avrah not to eat much at dinner, but Hosea usually eats and Micah usually doesn’t. Also let me add if you think turkey bacon is gross you are probably buying the wrong kind. The kind we had tonight was gross. Note to self and Jeremy don’t buy that kind again. Oscar Meyer/Butterball makes the best turkey bacon.
What is on the menu for tomorrow? Black eyed peas and ham with cornbread muffins and sliced pears. This is a crock pot meal (at least one meal a week is a crock pot and one is a 30 min meal). We are changing this one up a bit since Jeremy doesn’t care for black eyed peas I will be using Navy beans and will be using turkey ham (yes there is such a thing).

Now it is over!
We only thought Christmas was over. Now it is really over. Jeremy’s family did Christmas today. However Hosea woke up with crusty swollen eyes and so I got to stay home all day with him and Micah. After cleaning out his eyes and giving him some eye drops, Hosea was fine.
It was a lame and boring day at my house today, which was mainly my fault; I was bummed for not getting to go and allowed myself to get dragged down by it all.
I did however knit a ball.
I don’t know why. It was supposed to be a box but I guess I didn’t make all the sides as even as I thought and they didn’t all meet up right so I had to make an extra panel but when I added it, it turned it into a ball instead of a box. It’s cool the babies love to throw it to/at me and then fight over it when I throw it for them to get. I tried to teach them to throw it to each other so they wouldn’t fight that only worked for a little bit and then they would forget that they were supposed to be sharing. Guess I should have made two.
Starting a new week tomorrow makes me happy. I love Mondays. A clean slate, a fresh start. Oh and I get my laundry done.

The Great Christmas Tree Hunt of 2009/2010
This past week has been great! I have enjoyed my husband being home a lot of it. He got to take Tuesday off and only had to work a half day on Thursday and then was off Friday as well. What, you might ask, did we do on all those days that he was off? We went SHOPPING! That’s right after Christmas shopping. The main thing on our list was a tree for next year. For the last couple of years we have had a small tree that we put up on a table so they can’t reach it. Next Christmas we will have our big one with my decorations and their small one with all the kids’ decorations.
This week we went to Marshall’s, Old Time Pottery, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Garden Ridge and Target (all three of them in this area). At each place we found a lot of great deals on Christmas stuff, but alas no tree that we wanted, some were too much, some too small, some too skinny. We did find one that we liked near the beginning of our search but it was a little more than what we wanted to spend and I thought for sure we could find one for less if we kept looking.
Let me just add here that it was not just me and Jeremy shopping. It was all seven of us. For the most part the kids did a really good job. (If you were at the new target yesterday and heard a child screaming for a long time...I’m sorry)
After searching all of those stores we decided that maybe we should go get that one that we found but of course when we went back it was gone.
This afternoon while the babies where taking a much needed rest I decided to check the one place that we hadn’t gone to yet. That’s right Wal-mart. Why we didn’t go there sooner I have no idea.
I went to the one in Bixby and as I was looking at their Christmas trees I was getting frustrated because they didn’t have the size that I wanted and I was about to call the search off and then I see it a box that was about the right size for the size tree that we wanted, it was off to the side of the garden center back behind the registers. I went over to it and nothing looked wrong with it. I was going to ask someone about it but there was only one checker and she was very busy and on the phone. I got tired of waiting for someone to ask and decided well if they have this one then maybe one of the other ones have it too, so I go and I drive over to the one on Elm only to find that no they have no more Christmas trees at all. So I call Jeremy to see what my next move should be, if I should just give up or go ahead and try the one on 71st...Shiver…
After getting “lectured” about why I didn’t get the one in Bixby and sternly told to go back and see if it was still there and actually ask someone about it if it was. I headed back to Bixby, it was still there and no one that I asked knew why it was off to the side or what it was doing there, and yes I could have it. So as I was waiting in line to be checked out another checker arrived and she was glad that she wouldn’t have to put the tree “back out”. (Ok, really lady it was like 10 feet away from all the other trees you couldn’t have put it back?) Turns out that some guy had bought it, taken it home and his wife took one look at it and said that it wouldn’t fit so he brought it back, they put it over to the side and Voila I got it.
So thank you man that bought a too big tree and thank you wife for sending him back to the store and thank you lazy check out lady that didn’t want to put the tree back out for holding my tree over to the side where no one else could get it. Thanks to all of you I will have a great tree next Christmas and for 75% off!
I finally got to go home and de-decorate (or would it be undecorated?) uh well take down all the Christmas stuff and tell it good bye until next winter.

A time for reflection, looking forward or both?
The blog-a-day is back. I would say by popular demand but really it is just because I enjoyed it and apparently I won’t blog unless I think I “have” to.
My knitting is coming along. I must be a better teacher (or student) than I thought. I made a friend a scarf. I haven’t seen her wear it yet, but she says she likes it and she doesn’t lie.
Speaking of being a good student, we shall soon see. My first class starts on the 11th. I’ll keep you updated on how that goes.
Last week I was sitting on the couch with all my children reading to them. The babies don’t sit still very long, they would climb down and run around and play and then come back and sit for a minute or two. I had each of the big kids pick out a book to read/or be read to them. Josiah picked out the Bernstein Bear’s B Book. If you have never read it, it goes like this
“Big Brown Bear, Blue Bull, Beautiful Baboon Blowing bubbles biking backwards”…..etc…but it starts with just one word on the page and then adds a word or two on each following page, Josiah love to read it for some reason. Josiah paused and Judah said “This book has a lot of alliteration in it.” And then Josiah said “This book is repetitive.”
Can I just say how extremely happy I am that school is starting again on Monday. I am so ready to be back on some kind of schedule. I work best that way.
Right this minute Micah is standing on a step stool in the kitchen playing the waffle iron like a piano and singing, and now Hosea has come into the room and is dancing to Micah’s song.
Judah said his “new year’s revolution was to gain more weight” good luck son.
I hope you had a wonderful New Years Day. I am looking forward to seeing what 2010 has in store for me.

Busy Week
What a busy week we had this week.
Tuesday I thought was going to be a really busy day. Here is what I had planned, Big boys to school 8:30, (Take Avrah to Ryan's so she can take her to school at 9:30) at 8:35, WIC apt at 9, Dr.'s Apt. for babies at 10:45. Here is what really happened, everything went as scheduled until after the WIC class, it got over earlier then I expected and I made it all the way across town to the dr.'s apt at 10, I didn't want to wait in the car for 30 minutes so I took the boys to a close by park. Here are some pics of that.

it was cold and wet out but the boys got about 20 minutes of outside play time. Then we went back to the dr.'s office, went in got signed in, went to check, and then found out that no I didn't have an appointment on the 6th, it was actually on the 16th! GRR. So by this time the boys have missed their morning nap and my day is pretty much a bust, oh well at least we had a good time at the park. Oh and my friend Ryan brought me Bueno for lunch.
On Wednesday I had a play date with my twin mommy friends. We found this church playground that is fenced in and has big equipment for the big kids and little equipment for the little kids and also picnic tables, all inside the fence. It is so nice to not have to worry about one of your little ones escaping to the parking lot when you are busy with the other one. There were 5 mommies 2 of which had 4 of their children and the other 3 of us had only our babies. One momma left before I got my camera out. We sat all the babies down on our blankets all patched together to make one big spot for them and fed them their lunches, although I didn't get any pictures of this, it really was very cute. I did however get some pictures of them all playing together

See the toy in this picture, See the steps/ladder that Darla is helping her son up. Micah was trying to climb up it and I guess he was going a little slower then usual, Hosea comes over and I thought he was going to push brother out of the way or try to climb under him or pull him down, but what he did was the sweetest thing I have ever seen, he reached down to Micah's foot and tried to give him a push up to help him climb up. It was the sweetest thing, and I didn't even recognize it at first. Dana pointed it out. It was so very sweet, I hope that kind of behavior continues.
On Saturday we went to the fair with Jeremy's Dad and Millie (Paw Paw and Memaw). We went first thing in the morning as soon as they opened it was great, a little chili out, but it was not busy at all so it worked out nicely. We saw all the exhibits, ate lots of yummy fair food, and rode rides.

We came home took a short nap and then we were off to dinner at a friends house. As we were leaving and getting into the van to go home josiah said "I sure am going to miss that guy." He is so funny. Tomorrow we are going to Shalomfest. Should be fun.

This weekend I celebrated my 10th Anniversary. The actual anniversary date is the October 2nd. We didn't do anything really out of the ordinary on Friday. Kids went to school, I went to lunch with my mom. There was a fall festival and the boys' school that we went to. Usually Jeremy has class on Friday nights so I invited my BFF Ryan to go with us. She is the president of the PTA at her kids' school Vandever. I thought she might like to come and get some ideas for their thing that they do. Plus I didn't want to take all 5 kids by myself. She was excited to go as were her kids, I think. Turned out that Jeremy did not "have" to go to class as they were reviewing for a test that his teacher told him he would have no problem with. So he got to go with us. The kids had a lot of fun and so did we. Saw Danny he is one of the contestants on this season of The Biggest Loser. He looks GREAT! His kids go to W.C. with the boys. Also found out how far he gets in the competition.
Saturday we had planned to wake up early and do yard work, but the ground was pretty damp so we slept in instead, and then we went to a "Barbeque Tasting" to benefit The Little Lighthouse. Had some good BBQ and some not-so-good BBQ. Found out that the babies LOVE brisket! After that we took the kids to my moms house where we put Avrah, Hosea and Micah down for naps, which they promptly decided they were not going to take. Jeremy and I then took the big boys over to the Double Tree Hotel, where we had booked a room for the night. They have an indoor pool and we thought the big boys would like to go swimming, we spent about 2 1/2 hours in the pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Also learned a great lesson about hotels and little boys. Don't leave them alone in the room (even to go to the bathroom) with the remote to the TV or they WILL order pay-per-view and you will end up spending $8 on 20 minutes of a movie that they have already seen. (Wizards of Waverly Place the movie..to be exact).
Then Jeremy took me home to start getting ready and took the boys to meet Ryan at the church. I took a shower got dressed and went over to Victoria's house so she could do my make up for me. (pictures to follow), came back to the house, packed up our stuff and went to dinner.
We went to Benali's, it is a little italian restaurant. We love it. For some reason for the last 4 years or so we have gone there every anniversary and every valentines day. I highly recommend going.
We then spent the night at the hotel. Sunday morning we went to breakfast at IHOP, went to mom's to pick up the babies, hung out there for a while, ate some lunch, came home put babies and Avrah down for nap. Ryan brought the big boys home and hung out for a while. Played on the computer and just relaxed, until we put the kids to bed and then Jeremy and I did Jilllian Michaels Shred 1.
It was a great weekend. Probably will be a semi-busy week. and now for some pictures.

My new outfit. I know how Tim Gunn feels about leggings, but I think even he would think them ok if he saw my legs without them. :). 
Jeremy also looked great but somehow we didn't get a picture with both of us in it.
