Happy Labor Day.

I guess Labor day is suppose to be your last day of summer, well if that is so then our summer went out with a bang!

This morning we slept in a little, Jeremy made waffles and then he worked on the fence, one gate piece up one to go, the hole is getting smaller YEA! I forgot that it was monday so my laundry didn't get started till much later than normal. Around 11 my mom came over and we went to Jackson park (91st and Garnett) with my Tim and Victoria (and Yasha and Bugsy and Solo) and Judah and Jackie.  Jeremy grilled yummy hotdogs and the kids got to feed the turtles stale hotdog buns, Tim caught a HUGE snapping turtle, we saw a large snake, Aunt Jackie made some YUMMY cookies. It was very fun but hot so we decided to go to Gramma's house to swim. While there the babies were trying (or trying not) to nap, while the big kids all got to play in the pool with Uncle Judah and Jeremy. Victoria wanted to go long boarding, for those of you who don't know what that is, it is like a skate board but longer and wider and with bigger wheels. Judah and Jackie have a few and had brought them over. I was up for it and I guess as soon as I went out the door Jeremy said "my wife is going to get hurt" he was right. My mom's neighborhood is very hilly so we were going up this one street and riding down (sitting down) into my mom's driveway, first couple times it was really fun, Victoria would go down first and then make sure no cars where coming and then we would go down, I had asked them how you stopped them and they said just put your feet down. Well the last time I did it I was going pretty fast, and I though ok no problem just put your feet down, so I did and the front of my flip flops got caught on the ground and flipped over and as this did nothing in the way of stopping me it dragged my feet along the ground upside down, until I could get the thing to stop. So the tops of my feet have a bit of road rash, but all in all it was fun and I would do it again, only next time I will wear shoes.
Notice in the picture how my very nice nails are now ruined, girls it's time to go get pedicures.
A little bit later we took Judah and Josiah to their first Jiu-Jitsu class, they really enjoyed it. We went to Triton  (http://www.tritonccsd.com/ if you are interested) and they get to go every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5-6 and while they do their class the parents can work out for free. That is if they aren't chasing around three other little ones, we just took the babies today, we left Avrah at Gramma's. When we went back to get Avrah, Uncle Tim was just getting back with pizza so we stayed and ate and then we came home, and put the kids in bed and now I am blogging, and for all of those curious out there no I did not get ALL my laundry done, I have about 3 or 4 left.. and two sitting here staring at me needing to be folded, so off I go to fold it.
Hope your Labor day was fun as well.

Sunday

Today was a long busy day. We went to church this morning then to my mom's for lunch, then we came home put the babies in bed and then I mowed and Jeremy weed eated, is that proper english? Or would it be weed ate? See that doesn't look right either. Anyway it took about an 1hour and half which is pretty good timing. Then we had friends over for dinner. Jeremy made rice and beans to go with his home made tortillas, they brought chicken and mac and cheese and chips and salsa.. It was fun and yum.

This morning Avrah put her shoes on the wrong feet, she said "Is this right?" and I told her no and she needed to change them, and she said "I don't care" and I said well I care so please put them on the right feet and she said "but I don't care." There are some time that I have to try really hard not to laugh and try to keep a straight face at some of the things she says.

Sorry for the boring blogs lately. Maybe I should take the whole "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all." philosophy and apply it to blogging.. If you don't have anything interesting to say don't blog at all. hmm yes but some people may think it is interesting while others don't..so it's all in the eyes of the reader.

taking it easy

Jeremy made tortillas this morning from scratch. They were really more like flat bread since we don't have a tortilla press, but they turned out pretty good for his first attempt, not surprising. Today there were lots of plans that were made but it seems like the weather didn't want to cooperate, I was going to mow the lawn and Jeremy was going to work on the fence but then the ground was all wet from the rain and it never did seem to dry out enough to mow, maybe tomorrow. All in all it was a pretty laid back day. Micah has figured out how to climb IN to the pack n play. Hosea loves to bring little balls to me and have me throw them for him to go get and bring back, but when Micah climbed into the PnP then Hosea brought him the ball to throw for him. It was very sweet to see them interact that way. They have been "talking" to each other more. Hosea has been "talking" to everyone, although no one seems to know what he is saying except for Micah who "talks" back in their language and Avrah who talks back in English, but she won't translate for me.

The kids are just now getting into the "High School Musical" movies, we watched one last week and then today I went and got the second one so when we were watching it Judah said to me, Mom I get the musical part of the first one, but I'm not getting the musical part to this one. He seemed to be ok with everyone just singing and dancing out of the blue but didn't understand that was the "musical" part of it, I guess. They all love it, when they start singing and dancing in the movie all the kids get up and start dancing around, very cute even Micah and Hosea bop along to the beat.

Ooops

Well I went to bed without blogging, guess I forgot, but got woke up
so, well it's still today on the west coast. Don't have much to say
about today anyway. Went to steakstuffers today for lunch, and had the
spicy chicken stuffer, it was good. Went to moms this evening, she
made a climbing gym for the babies out of old crib pieces, they love
to climb! She has some pictures I'll get them from her later. I'm
going back to bed now. Good night all.
These pictures were on my camera, taken by my son Judah.

Micah

Dear Micah,
You are my youngest and smallest of all my children. Yet you have one of the biggest personalities, your smile is contagious as is your laughter. Every day with you is an adventure. I love how you can turn anything into a musical instrument, and sing and dance along to your own tune in your head. Would anyone else think to use plastic clothes hangers on the wii drums? You get so excited about little things like the ball I just threw for you to go get. You are always up for trying new things. I love how you are starting to stick up for yourself and not let brother take away EVERY thing you play with. Sure some of those very traits are the things that keep me on my toes all day ( or at least they should).  No Micah vaseline is not a toy, and don't climb up there because even though you might not fall off, I'm pretty sure brother will follow you and he will fall. I am so happy that you chose to come and be a part of my family. I can not imagine life without you. I love you.

119th

Today is my 119 month anniversary. It may sound silly but for some reason Jeremy and I started celebrating our month anniversaries in our first year and never stopped. Sure we don't really do anything big or get each other gifts, usually it is just a text or a email saying I love you and happy whatever number it may be.  Next month we will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary! 10 down an eternity to go. I love you Babe..Happy 119!

Ok enough of that today. Avrah said to one of the babies "Stop baby! Don't throw that ball at me. Don't you know I'm allergic to balls!"
Allergic to balls..where does she get this stuff.
Her school starts next Tuesday. She will be going Mon, Tues, and Wed. from 930-200. It will just be me and the babies, wonder what that will be like.
Well I'm off to go see if I can get a nap in before the big boys come home.

Day 1

What a day! Today started out so early for me, I for some unknown reason woke up at 4:30 and was unable to go right back to sleep, I tossed and turned and finally was just drifting of around 5:30 when a baby started crying, so I waited for a minute to see if he would stop and he didn't so I got up to go replace his binky, but when I got to the bathroom door, he stopped, so I went got back in bed and he started again, he then stopped on his own and I was able to go back to sleep.

Later that morning after everyone was up and awake, I decide to make oatmeal for Avrah and the babies, because they really like it. So I'm getting all the oatmeal ready and I mix up one bowl (with brown sugar and cinnamon like usual) and stick it in the freezer to chill while I wait for the other one to get done in the microwave. Then the next one gets done and I am mixing it up and I decide to put some applesauce in it too, so I put some applesauce in it and I'm smelling it going this just does not smell right, there is something wrong with this applesauce but no the applesauce smelled fine, so I smelled the "cinnamon" yeah it wasn't cinnamon it was CUMIN!! I had just put CUMIN and applesauce in the kids oatmeal. Luckily the other bowl was still in the fridge and not fed to them yet, and also luckily I had two more packs of oatmeal, usually with my luck that would have been the last of it.
I then decided that it was going to be a coffee day. Needless to say I got a lot done today. I got my kitchen cleaned, my floors swept and steamed. I also cleaned the big boys room, which was a really big task especially with two little helpers, luckily they love to play fetch. Usually they will bring me a ball and I will throw it and they will run after it and bring it back, this works best when they each have a ball. This kept them very busy until I noticed that one time it was taking them a really long time to bring the balls back (I was throwing them out of the bedroom and down the hall) and then I heard the "GIVE IT TO ME IT'S MINE" scream which is just the scream they scream at each other when one of them has something that the other wants and he won't give it to him. So I go to check on them and they are fighting over the dishwasher detergent bucket and all the little packs are all over the floor and some of them have been chewed on. It was about this time that I got a call from Jeremy who wanted me to come to his work to sign some papers, so off we went.
Tonight I had my TMOMs (Tulsa Mothers of Multiples) meeting. It was packed are club is growing so much and there are sooooo many new twin mommies..it is very exciting. Then I went out with some girlfriends afterwards. Just in time to turn in my blog before my 1st day is over. That was my busy day..I hope tomorrow isn't as busy, I'm sure it will be it is open house at Avrah's school...fun fun..
Thanks for reading :)
